CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform. “Receiving a high score from them is yet another sign that we have successfully integrated responsible practices throughout the entire company and are taking steps in the right direction,” says Ingunn Ettestøl, Chief Sustainability Officer of Arendals Fossekompani
While disclosure grew by 24% in 2023, the number of A List companies rose by just 14%. In a release published by the CDP, the organisation’s CEO Sherry Madera states, “Earning a place on the A List is about more than the score. It’s an indication of high quality and comprehensive data that equips companies with a holistic view of their environmental impact, serves as a baseline for transition plans and – crucially – enables them to follow through on their stated ambitions.”
The news of the top performance score comes on the tail end of our recently approved Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) climate targets. According to our strategy, we are on the right track to be in accordance with EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
