“The Board of Directors is very pleased to hire Ørjan Svanevik as CEO of the company. His background from industry, finance, private equity, as well as high-level transactions and board experience, makes him particularly suited to lead an industrial investment company such as Arendals Fossekompani,” says Chairman Jon Hindar.
Svanevik has previously worked for well-known Norwegian industrial builders, such as Kjell Inge Røkke and John Fredriksen – in Aker and Seatankers respectively. Lately, he has run his own consulting and investment business.
“Arendal Fossekompani is an impressive company, with a history of close to 125 years. The company has successfully developed new businesses based on its original core competence within power production. Industrial value creation has built a very solid financial position and a highly competent organization, which forms the basis for continued growth and innovation,” says Svanevik.
“I am very excited to get started, to contribute to a sustainable development, and to work with the successful team in Arendal to create additional value for shareholders,” says Svanevik.
Ørjan Svanevik assumes the position of CEO of Arendal Fossekompani on September 1. He succeeds Jarle Roth, who has been CEO of AFK for the past three years.
