“Arendals Fossekompani is one of the most exciting companies in the southern part of Norway. Being an Arendal native, I have followed the company for some time. In recent years, Arendals Fossekompani has made several strategic investments in different platforms which have great potential for value creation,” says Tanem.

Since 2012, he has worked as investment portfolio manager at Å Energi Invest, formerly known as Agder Energi Venture. Tanem was chairman and later interim CEO of Morrow Batteries. Prior to Å Energi, he was a principal at A. T. Kearney, and a consultant at Boston Consulting Group.

Tanem holds a master’s degree in economics and business administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

“My background from renewable energy, investments and active ownership is coinciding with Arendals Fossekompani’s activities. I believe we are a good match,” says Tanem.

At Arendals Fossekompani, Tanem will initially play an active role in the ownership of battery company Ampwell and induction heating and charging company ENRX. In addition, Tanem will be an integral part of the overall value creation agenda for Arendals Fossekompani.

“We are very pleased to welcome Håkon to our management team. He brings a breadth of industry experience, including specific expertise in batteries, which is highly relevant for us,” says Benjamin Golding, CEO of Arendals Fossekompani.
