What is the most exciting part about your role as the VP of People and Culture?

I really enjoy the variety of tasks in my role and that I get to work with talented and enthusiastic people both in AFK and our portfolio companies. Recruitment is also a fascinating part of my job; it’s like a people puzzle where you try to find the perfect fit.

Seeing as you play a key role in the hiring process, how much responsibility do you feel you have to a new employee’s success in their role?

Building a thriving work culture isn’t a one-person job—it’s a shared effort. Together with leaders and colleagues, we all play a role in creating an environment where everyone can reach their potential. This isn’t just key to our professional growth and satisfaction—it’s essential to the success of the business.

Besides recruitment, what would you say your main responsibility is as a VP for People and Culture?

At its core, it’s all about creating a work environment where both people and business thrive. Every day brings a variety of tasks, from shaping strategy, providing leadership support, and driving change management to handling day-to-day practicalities. The key is finding the right balance between business needs and employee well-being.

When I’m not at work, you can find me…

I love the boat life together with family and friends. I’m also a part of a local choir and have been getting back into hip hop dance classes. It’s fun to sing and dance!
