Sustainable fuels are crucial for the success of decarbonisation in shipping and energy-intensive industries. North Ammonia will develop the next generation of carbon-free fuel for shipping and other transport.

North Ammonia will be located in Arendal, with a pilot plant to be built as early as 2022 and full-scale plants in 2024 or 2025. The plan is to produce 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually.
