Kilandsfoss kraftverk AS has a consession to utilize the height of fall between Flatenfoss hydro power plant and Bøylefoss in Nidelva.
The project is owned by Froland municipality, Åmli municipality and Arendals Fossekompani ASA (33,3 % shares per owner ).
The development of Kilandsfoss hydro power plant will not increase the general level of regulation of the watercourse in Nidelva.
The concession given March 8, 2013, gives Kilandsfoss kraftverk AS the right to utilize a gross fall height of approximately 6,1 m.
