Flatenfoss Hydropower Plant

Flatenfoss is situated between Nelaug and Bøylefoss in Nidelva (the Arendal river).  The power plant came in to operation in 1927.

Flatenfoss 2 was commissioned in 1981. The station has a horizontal Kaplan turbine.

Flatenfoss 3
Flatenfoss 3 came in to operation in 2009, replacing the earlier power plant Flatenfoss 1. The plant has a vertical Kaplan turbine.
